What Do We Use?

GLPARS utilizes a number of pieces of equipment during investigations. We have found that while personal experiences are important, evidence has been found when there were no obvious personal experiences.

We do not use items such as dowsing rods, Ouija Boards or other occult items. They require human interpretation and are thus not measurable.

Digital Cameras - we have a number of digital cameras with varying resolution 2.0 mega pixels up to 8 mega pixels.
Voice Recorders - we are currently employing multiple Olympus digital voice recorders (three VN-4100PC recorders and two VN-5200PC). They are quite sensitive (almost 12 hours record time at highest resolution for the VN-4100PC and 35 hours for the VN-5200PC) and transfer easily to a PC for analysis.
EMF Detectors - we have found that the CellSensor Gauss Meter (EMF Detector) works very well. GLPARS currently uses three meters. It has two sensitivity scales along with light and audible alarms. The light and audible alarms allow for EMF monitoring under low light or while performing other tasks.
Digital Thermometers - we have a multiple Actron CP7875 Pocket Infrared Thermometers - good for taking surface temperatures from a distance.

Camcorders - we are currently utilizing multiple Sony DCR-HC38 Mini-DV recorders. The Sony cameras have NightShot Plus technology for shooting in low light.

We also utilize external IR lights for the camcorders.

Motion Sensor

Motion Sensor Camera - we are currently utilizing a HCO ScoutGuard SG550 Infrared Trail camera. The camera will take either 5 MP still digital photos or short video (up to 2 minutes 640x480). It is triggered by motion and is capable of triggering in daylight or in dark.

Flashlights - number of small flashlights including ones with red LEDs so that night vision is not disturbed.
Walkie Talkies - we have a couple of sets in order to maintain communications during and investigation.
